Introduction to Debate: How to Prove Your Point

Thanks to the speaker at the session Muhammad Nahian Bin Khaled, the room full of students got to know about the finer details of the art and science of debating in the workshop on parliamentary debate. The discussion held on the 3rd of August 2017 (Thursday) covered the topics of elementary rules, basic formalities and strategies required for aspiring debaters. After the workshop, a Bengali show debate was held on the motion, “This house believes that market capitalism is no longer an effective economic system”, where six student participants performed an amazing job.

Economics Study Center expresses hope that the session would inspire future leaders in the debating arena to uphold the legacy of the department in co-curricular activities.
