The 5th session of Building Bridge, held on the 26th of October, 2017 was an enthralling session that enriched the attendees with knowledge on employment opportunities in the fields of Economic research and academia. This session's speaker Md. Nazmul Avi Hossain, Senior Research Associate, SANEM, shared his experiences and advised students regarding the fields where an Economics graduate can explore. The honorable speaker, also former lecturer of Department of Economics, Notre Dame University and a former Development Practitioner at Swisscontact-katalyst, pointed out to the audience the necessity of networking, soft skills and research-based knowledge as well as the requirements to pursue higher studies abroad. From the most basic theories of consumer behavior to the most recent Nudge theory, the speaker suggested everyone to implement the learnings from Economics in real life in order to maximize utility in every aspect.
The session, from beginning to end was filled with light-hearted anecdotes from the speaker which constantly kept the audience engaged.
