ESC is glad to announce that the 2nd session of "Learning to Excel", "Writing Skill for Paperwork and Workplaces" was conducted by one of our honorable faculties, Dr. Sayema Haque Bidisha, August 11, Thursday. "Learning to Excel"- a series of workshops for students aimed at professional skill development, was launched earlier this year. Dr Bidisha began her talk by explaining how writing skills are indispensable for.our discipline, even more so for those wishing to pursue a career in research. Next, she outlined the different formats for Journals, Book Chapters, Research Papers, and Essays, as well as highlighting the differences between them. Emphasizing mostly on the paper format, she presented a few of her own works to the attendee. A Q&A session between her and the students marked the end of the fruitful workshop. The workshop was of particular help to those wishing to embark upon a career in research. She advised everyone to practice writing short essays on recent economic events, as only thus skills can further be enhanced.
