In 12th South Asian Economics Students' Meet, Colombo, Bangladesh team did splendid job!
Mahir A Rahman won the prestigious "Budding Economist" award. He is the 3rd student from Bangladesh who won this award since the beginning of SAESM! 3 out of 6 top participants were from Bangladesh in the final round of the Budding Economist competition! Nahian Bin Khaled, President of Economics Study Center (ESC) won the Best Paper award under the theme "Intraregional and Interregional FDI" with his research paper "Bilateral FDI in South Asia: A Panel Data Analysis Using the Gravity Model" Tonni Hasan won the Best Paper award with her paper "Enhancing Capabilities in the Manufacturing Sector: An approach of skill development " under the theme "Human Skills Development for fostering a regional competitive advantage". All the other papers also brought a neck-to-neck close competition. In each and every theme! This is not the end! Bangladesh Team for the quiz competition won the Championship in the economics quiz competition. Sadat Anowar Sunny, Adib Ahmed, Kazi Oishi & Mahir Rahman were the team members. 4 out of 9 prizes are owned by the Bangladeshis among all South Asian nation.
