 নিশাত তাসনিম ইতিশা, মোহাম্মদ ইফতেখারুল ইসলাম, নুমায়ের আহম্মেদ অর্থনীতিকে সাধারণত একটি দুর্বোধ্য বিষয় হিসেবে গণ্য করা হয়। জটিল তাত্ত্বিক এবং গাণিতিক সমস্যা দিয়ে ভরপুর এই বিষয়টি খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। অর্থনীতি আমাদের দৈনন্দিন জীবনের সাথে ওতোপ্রোতোভাবে জড়িত। এটি অধ্যয়নের মাধ্যমে যেমনি মানব- আচরণকে ব্যাখ্যা করা যায়, তেমনি বিশ্লেষণী ক্ষমতাও বেড়ে যায়। অর্থনীতির একটি বিশেষ শাখা হলো রাজনৈতিক অর্থনীতি। রাজনৈতিক অর্থনীতি বোঝার জন্য সর্বপ্রথম কাজ হলো বই পড়া। এমন অনেক বই রয়েছে যেগুলো পড়লে রাজনৈতিক অর্থনীতি সম্পর্কে ব্যাপক ধারণা লাভ করা সম্ভব। সেরকমই আটটি বই নিয়ে আমাদের দ্বিতীয় পর্বের লেখা।
