DEVELOPMENT ECONOMICS

Development economics studies how people from a society can escape from poverty and have a better standard of living. It tries to improve the economic, fiscal and social conditions in developing countries. Economic growth, technological changes, structural changes, institutions, education, public health, working conditions are fields where development economics is applied. Knowledge over development economics helps evaluate current development practices, provide direction for a country's development, define problems in future country development, and indicate the economic aspects of country development.
