Synopsis:

Thinking, Fast and Slow is regarded as one of the classiest books of knowledge which is incorporated with many areas of knowledge such as psychology, political science, philosophy, economics, statistics, etc. This book mainly consists of almost all the lifetime works of Daniel Kahnemann, the author of the book and Amos Tverksy.

The book is considered as one of the most read behavioral economics books. The fourth part of the book on “Choice” mainly deals with behavioral economics. However, to get a better understanding of the theories, it is highly suggested to read the previous chapters because all chapters are interrelated.

If one is interested in books that deal with a very different spectrum of disciplines, this book is a must-read. Almost every aspect of an area of knowledge is described very nicely by Kahnemann in this book. This is absolutely a masterpiece by Daniel Kahnemann.

Before starting reading this book, one must know that understanding all the theories and embracing all the knowledge in this book may take several months. In other words, readers should be ready to devote a minimum of a few months to study this book.

It is unlikely of the readers to get a good hold of this book just by reading once. It seems to be okay if they cannot grab better holds in their first attempt. Consistent and repetitive readings may help the readers understand this book better than before.

However, it is highly preferred to have some basic knowledge of psychology, economics, statistics, political science, and philosophy to have a better understanding.
